SEL develops understanding and skills to nurture a positive sense of self, promote respectful relationships and build capacity to manage emotions, behaviours and interactions with others. SEL skills include recognising and managing emotions, developing caring and concern for others, establishing positive relationships, making responsible decisions and handling challenging situations. SEL promotes working collaboratively, showing respect for others and managing emotions and behaviour.
